Telehouse Docklands is the UK’s largest internet exchange and data centre complex. Highly protected it comprises of four buildings enclosed by a single fence and surrounded by the Funeven private estate.
Telehouse encompasses three forms of its surveillance in the forms of drawings, CCTV footage and Google.
Funeven’s Director of Security specified that whilst photography was not permitted, drawing or painting were permitted if they did not contain sensitive information. To comply with this restricted level of detail the drawings were made by using a touch-screen computer tablet.
The montage of CCTV footage and the street level surveillance of the Funeven estate is filmed by staff in its interior (via the control room).
Google provides the surveillance of the all-knowing eye providing readily accessible information about the site.
