With Rotational Frequency I-III, I’ve developed my hand-folding method by cutting, layering and stitching together varying shapes from drafting film to create four degrees of transparency and opaqueness.
This process highlights the translucency of the material and identifies how the shapes evolve within the composition as they appear to travel across each artwork’s relief surface.
Numbers I and II were made in response to exhibition Material Transformations that I co-curated with Cube Gallery, London, during the first quarter of 2024.

The earlier systems-based compositions are series of works that each based on an underlying structural grid of horizontal and vertical lengths that follow a 3-2-1-1-2-3 pattern. These relate to the first numbers of the Fibonacci Series. All pieces are created from Polydraw drafting film stitched with fluorocarbon thread onto its backing.
